From the Founder:

Thank you for your interest in our organization. Enclosed you will find information about our mission and programs. I will not take much of your time in this section other than to give you a little background on our organization.

I retired from the US Navy in 2001 and returned to Newton, Harvey County, Kansas. In May of 2006 I was concerned that there had not been an effort to have a Veterans Day Parade in Harvey County since my return, little did I know at the time that there had not been one in over 30 years. So I organized the First Annual Harvey County Veterans Day Parade in November 2006. After that I found that support for the families of our deployed Troops was an issue that needed some attention also. So in August of 2007 I founded the Veterans Committee of Harvey County (VCHC). Since then we have found other issues that troubled us, so we have begun to address these issues as well.
Please read more on our organization and again, thank you for your interest. I hope that you will find that our work is something you would like to be apart of and join us.

Douglas W. Croft, USN Ret.

The Veterans Committee of Harvey County, (VCHC), is a non-profit 501(c) 4 organization that relies on public, private and corporate donations to operate.
